Blair music program to perform Dec. 7, Dec. 14

by Johanna Gretschel, Online Managing Editor
The Blair music program is performing this Thursday, Dec. 7, in the auditorium from 7 p.m. to around 8:30 p.m. The concert will feature the beginning jazz band, honors jazz band and percussion ensemble.

The symphonic band, symphonic orchestra, concert band and string orchestra will perform in a separate concert next Thursday, Dec. 14, from 7 p.m. to around 9 p.m. in the auditorium. Both concerts are free of charge.

In previous years, all bands have performed together in one concert. Music teachers Dustin Doyle and Michelle Roberts decided to decrease the concert length by splitting the bands up. "It kind of got to be a marathon concert," said first-year teacher Roberts.

The only problem splitting up the concert is that there really weren't as many people at the Jazz Band concert from the other classical bands. Even though Mr. Doyle and Ms. Roberts said our attendence there would be graded, not many of the students or their parents could make it.

But the blondies outside the auditorium were really good and Andrew Bort's performance on the new Marimba was THE MOST FREAKISHLY AMAZING PERFORMANCE EVER BEYOND ANY DOUBT WITH NO EQUAL!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOO!!!!!!! INCREDIBLE JOB BORT!!!! WHOO!!!!
