Audio problems prompt decision to call off event

The SGA-sponsored Talent Show, originally scheduled for tonight, was canceled, the SGA announced today. SGA President Eric Hysen cited audio problems as the cause of the cancellation.

"[The talent show was canceled] due to circumstances regarding the audio equipment beyond our control," explained Hysen.

The show was previously set for Nov. 17, but was rescheduled for today, Dec. 15, due to performance cancellations and issues within the SGA. "We had several last-minute cancellations as well as some internal issues we had to deal with," explained Hysen.

Scheduled performances included a rap by senior Avi Silber, a salsa dance by senior Braulio Salas, performances by several Blair bands and a number of other musical performances.

Hysen expressed his disappointment at the sudden cancellation. "We sincerely apologize to those who were going to perform and attend," he said. "It was not an easy decision to make."
