Take a study break on Sunday, June 9, and stop by "Live at Long Branch," to enjoy the music of five bands: Livewire, The Walrus and the Carpenter, Third Fret, Serpentina and Xtacy. All except Serpentina feature Blair musicians. The FREE event runs from noon to 4 p.m. at Long Branch Community Center, 8700 Piney Branch Rd., Silver Spring. Directions: From Blair take University Blvd. east and turn right at Piney Branch Rd. A short distance after the next light (Barron St.), turn right into the community center parking lot.
