Tentative new date is Friday, February 23

The SGA announced today that the Winter Formal, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Feb. 16, has been postponed. If approved by administrators, the new date will be Friday, Feb. 23. SGA President Eric Hysen cited the impending snow day as the reason for rescheduling. "We didn't really have a choice on whether or not to move it at this point," he said.

Because class time was missed for the snow days, the pep rally originally scheduled for this Wednesday will not be postponed. However, the spirit week will be extended through next Friday and club performances will continue to take place at both lunches throughout the week.

The new spirit week will feature Bad Hair day on Wednesday, Twin day on Thursday and Blazer Spirit day on Friday.

If the dance is approved, all previous rules about tickets, outside guests and appropriate attire will still hold.

Parents who had originally signed up to chaperone the dance are asked to e-mail SGA Vice President Molly Martinez to notify her about their availability for the new date. According to Hysen, parents who were not originally signed up but wish to chaperone can e-mail Martinez expressing their interest.
