A promising season has started out well for the Blair varsity baseball as they maintained their early undefeated record against Seneca Valley. Despite a slow start, the Blazers improved to 2-0 this week in its 5-3 win over the Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles (0-2).
Blair varsity baseball (7-5) played their third of four games this week and lost to Whitman baseball (11-2) by a final score of 9-3. The Blazers were both mentally and physically tired at the beginning of the game and it showed.
Already behind by the bottom of the first, Blair was never able to complete a comeback against a tough Northwest pitching staff. The Blazers' rally in the sixth inning fell short as the varsity baseball team (5-7) lost to the Northwest Jaguars (9-3) by a score of 7-3. The loss snapped a two-game win streak, which included a 7-0 victory over a seven-win Paint Branch team.
