Several Blair bands will "make music, not war" at a concert Friday, February 14, at the Washington Ethical Society.

The concert is meant to raise money for anti-war efforts and literature will be distributed to raise awareness for peace. Blair based band Culo Balena is prominently featured, as well as Third Fret, headlining. The Human Beans, Look Out Below, Bar*Code and Spoont will also be playing.

The bands are enthusiastically prepared for the show. According to lead guitar Sam Goldman, Third Fret is ready to debut a powerful anti-war song. Similarly, Culo Balena's Charlotte Littlehales promises to "rock out for peace."

Countywide organization Students for Peace and Justice is sponsoring the event, which follows a teach-in at Four Corners at 4.

There is a suggested donation of $4 at the door.
The Washington Ethical Society is at 7750 16th St. NW D.C.
