Winning streak ended at 3 games

The Blair Blazers' three game win streak came to a sudden halt tonight against the B-CC Barons with a 53-64 loss. The Blazers played a tough first half but like so many games this season could not put together a full four quarters.

The game started slowly with Blair scoring only 9 points in the first quarter. The second quarter started with a Blazer spark from senior forward Ryan Sessoms. Sessoms nailed a three pointer, and then stole the ball on the inbound for an easy lay up. On B-CC's next possession, senior Alonzo Woods made another steal and set up Sessoms for another easy bucket and a foul.

The Blazers managed to score 22 points in the second quarter but came out of the locker room at halftime as stale as month old bread. They crumbled early in the third and were never able to put the pieces back together. The Blazers only managed 21 more points the rest of the game.

Junior Charles Atakora led Blair with 14 points and had a chance for many more if it were not for several missed put backs. B-CC forward Robert McBurney led all scores with 15. The Blazers face rival Springbrook tomorrow at the Brook. Blair lost the first match up between these two teams 43-68 on Dec 13.
