MAY 3, BLAZER STADIUM--

The Blazers rebounded from several recent tough losses today with a 13-3, six-inning mercy-rule victory over the Churchill High School Bulldogs. The game was a needed boost to the Blazers, who had been struggling at the plate and in the field over the past couple of games.

Pitcher Emma Simson threw more accurately than she had recently, and she was backed up by consistent fielding. The Blazers also hit well, led by senior Sophie Strike, who had several strong hits over the right fielder's head.

Two of Blair's usual starters did not see playing time today. Junior Marianne Epstein was on the bench for the second game in a row with a leg injury and senior Carly Vieira also sat the game out. As a result, senior Elizabeth Inkellis and junior Sally Haskell saw significant playing time.
