APRIL 15, NELSON H. KOBREN MEMORIAL GYMNASIUM-

The varsity boys' volleyball team swiftly defeated the Northwest High School Jaguars 15-1, 15-2 in perhaps "our best game of the season with the least errors yet," according to senior co-captain Sang Ahn.

The Jaguars were held scoreless for the first 9 points of the game, during which the Blazers continually set up point-ending spikes off of Jaguar free-balls and rolls.

In past games, both this season and last, Blair has struggled with
maintaining a high level of play when facing a weaker opponent. During this game, however, the team worked well together and completed several offensive plays. "Though our competition wasn't very tough we stayed alert and picked up all the stray balls, which is something we haven't been able to do in the past," said Ahn.

With most of the starting lineup returning from last year, the team hopes to contend in the playoffs by using seasonal games as practice for the post-season. "There are a lot of situations that we haven't experienced so far. Like in the RM game, we weren't used to covering for our hitters, so as the year goes hopefully we can learn from those situations," said senior Mike Li.
