Tea the Indian Way
Tea is known as chai in varying parts of the world. Signifying milk tea in India, chai is a popular beverage amongst many people of the nation. This recipe uses a just a couple of spices to give a wonderful flavor that is soothing and hard to resist.
Makes 1 serving
Preparation:
2. Add the grated ginger
3. When water begins boiling, add milk
4. Add the cardamom seeds
5. When the milk starts rising, add the black tea leaves quickly
6. Before milk rises to the top, lift the saucepan and shake gently from left to right for about 5 seconds
7. Turn off the stove
8. Strain the tea into a teacup
9. Add sugar and stir
10. Serve while still hot
