Homecoming court to be announced

The Homecoming pep rally will be held in the gym throughout 7th period on Friday, Oct. 13. The rally will be divided into two parts and will be held with half of the school population attending each, depending on the students' classroom number and floor.

Fall sports teams, including field hockey, volleyball, football, boys and girls soccer, will all participate and perform one- to two-minute skits. Also performing will be the Blair cheerleaders, the poms squad and the marching band, with a separate drumline performance, according to SGA Director of School Spirit Saron Yitbarek.

Music will be provided Hot 99.5 DJ Chris Styles, who will also be the DJ for the Homecoming dance. Styles and seniors Jonathan and Joshua Brown will be hosting the event, while Styles' brother Ryan Styles will be on the turntables.

The Homecoming Court will also be announced towards the end of the pep rally. Homecoming tickets will be sold throughout the week up until Friday during 5A and 5B lunches. Students must pay all obligations before buying a ticket.

Senior class T-shirts arrived Thursday, in time for homecoming events and the pep rally, and will be sold outside the SAC for $10 each, according Class of 2007 vice president Eloise Potterfield.
