DEC. 20, NELSON H. KOBREN MEMORIAL GYMANISUM—
When the Springbrook Blue Devils had the ball swiped away and taken coast-to-coast for a lay-up to secure a 51-46 win for the Blair Blazers, it marked the end of an exhilarating, up-tempo game, and the beginning of a winning streak for the JV boys' basketball team.
Blair pushed their record to 3-1 – their second win in a row after Friday's victory over Northwest – and added another notch of confidence to their game with the gratifying, emotion-filled contest.
In a game where the momentum and score swung back and forth like a pendulum, Blair's height and athletic advantage allowed them to dominate the game, despite a slow start. The team's taller players dominated the boards, converting easy tip-ins and altering innumerable shots, never letting the Blue Devils come within two points of them during the fourth quarter.
The JV team will face Blake on Thursday, Dec. 22.
