Ocelus retiring after 16 years at Blair

English teacher Connie Ocelus will retire at the beginning of second semester after 30 years of teaching with MCPS. She has taught English at Blair for the past 16 years; she is the only Blair teacher retiring this semester.

"I'm ecstatic," said Ocelus, who plans to travel throughout the United States and around the world. Ocelus has plans to travel to Virginia for a massage and spa treatment and then to Florida to visit friends. While she has no long-term plans to teach or gain other employment, she plans to spend the immediate future "enjoying [herself]."

"I'll miss the people the most," said Ocelus, referring both to students and teachers with whom she has worked over the years. For the past 16 years at Blair, Ocelus has taught senior and sophomore English.

If students would like to contact Ocelus, they can do so at Constance_Ocelus@fc.mcps.k12.md.us.
