Perfect peach cobbler

Bring summer back with this delicious dessert


Already feeling overwhelmed by school? Do you miss the carefree days of summer? Are you wondering what to do with your surplus of summer peaches? Reminisce about those sweet summer nights over a delicious peach cobbler.

Makes 6 servings

Kitchenware:
- 2 large mixing bowls
- 8-inch square pan
- mixing spoon

Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut up
- 4 cups (3 1/2 lbs.) sliced fresh peaches
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons water

Preparation:


1. Combine flour, sugars, salt, and cinnamon into large mixing bowl and mix well

2. Cut butter into small pieces and mix into flour with a fork until the mixture is crumbly

3. Combine peaches, lemon juice and water into a separate mixing bowl and toss gently

4. Spoon mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan

5. Sprinkle flour mixture over peaches

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until bubbly and crust begins to crisp

Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a tasty treat!
