Inclement weather delays event

The back-to-school barbeque scheduled for today has been postponed until Friday, Sept. 8, because of inclement weather. The rescheduled event will take place from 2:15 to 5:30 p.m. on either the softball field or in the SAC.

Despite the initial complications, SGA Spirit Director Saron Yitbarek is enthusiastic about the event. "We are hoping to attract at least 200 people," she said. "We think that by providing different types of music, we will be able to attract different types of people."

Four Blair bands will be playing a variety of music from rock to go-go and reggaeton. Other carnival-like activities will be provided, including football and basketball tosses.

The barbeque is free for all Blair students. Refreshments and live music will be provided. Other food will be available for purchase, and the proceeds will go to the SGA's tutoring program.

If weather conditions are unfavorable on the rescheduled date, the event will be held in the SAC.
