SGR to hold teach-in on homelessness

The SGR will hold a teach-in on homelessness on Thursday, October 16 from 2:10 to 4:00 p.m. in the SAC.

Various organizations will be present including Bread for the City, The National Coalition for the Homeless, and CASA de Maryland.

Bread for the City is a non-profit organization that provides services for "vulnerable residents of Washington, D.C." According to the group's website, at risk residents can receive food, clothing, medical care, and legal advice in an "atmosphere of dignity, peace, and respect."

The National Coalition for Homeless is a group that strives towards housing, economic, and health care justice and civil rights. CASA de Maryland according to their website, it is a community organization that was founded in 1985 in response to "the human needs of thousands of Central America arriving to the D.C. area after fleeing wars and civil strife in their countries
of origin."

All are welcome to attend the teach-in.
