SilverStyle is a weekly blog focusing on fashion and beauty both in and outside of Blair. Come back next Wednesday for the next edition of SilverStyle. |
Many girls at Blair are already "hip" to this particular trend, as it has been in style for a couple seasons. During the summer it was bright colors. This still holds true now, but the colors will get lighter as the season changes. On the boulevard, students are wearing these jeans to make their outfits pop. They're easy to spot, even in a crowded hallway. Pair them up with a patterned or light colored top and you have an eye-catching and cute, yet comfy outfit for school.
Printed JeansWhether they're floral, plaid or animal, printed jeans make quite a statement. It's the same basic concept as colored jeans, except the outfit mostly revolves around the pattern. Take a cute pair of floral jeans, and downplay them with an white or peach colored shirt. If you like taking risks, you can try pattern on pattern, or denim on denim, to create a contrast, which is also in this season. To make the outfit even edgier, try ankle boots with this look.
Metallic JeansLooks like the 90's style of jeans are back in fashion. Fashion trends seem to cycle, don't they? Bleached jeans are a downplayed version of printed jeans, so if you're not into the printed, try this option. These faded jeans would be great for any chilly day and would look cute with a tucked in shirt with a cute belt, or oversized sweaters when it gets a bit colder. Any flats or ankle boots would complement these jeans.
Some other denim trends to take note of are denim jackets and shirts, coated denim and embellished jeans. Depending on your own style, you can customize your look accordingly. If you don't like these trends, regular jeans are always a good fallback, add a cute top and you have a chill look for school.
