Juniors Halsey Sinclair and Joshua Uzzell won third and eighth place in their respective races in a cross-country invitational meet late this afternoon. Overall, the girls A team came in 13th place out of 16 and the boys A team came in 9th out of 19 teams. The boys B team came in 10th place out of 19.

The meet was held at Centennial High School in Howard County and included high school teams from Montgomery and Howard County. Blair's scores do not count for the cross-country county season.

The girls' low score was caused partially by a minor injury and the absence of several top girl runners. Ashlyn Sinclair, Blair's second-best female runner, had stomach cramps in the middle of the A race and dropped out. However, the cross-country coach Carl Lewin stressed that all runners should be proud of their efforts because it was hot and humid and the course had a large number of hills.
