Students for Global Responsibility take action

Students for Global Responsibility will conduct a teach-in about the proposed was in Iraq today in the SAC.

The club wants to raise awareness about proposed actions, with speakers talking for and against the war.

SGR co-president Rachel Yood says the forum intends to, "show both sides so people can come to their own conclusions." Mr. Vlasits will be speaking, as well as members from International Answer, Peace Action, the Heritage Foundation, and the Army. The forum will be held in the SAC on Thursday, October 24th, form 2:15 to 4:00.

Members of SGR will be marching against the war on Iraq on Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 am, starting at Constitution Gardens and ending at the White House.

In school, the club plans to make armbands to protest the war , which will be passed out to anyone interested, on Wednesday, October 23rd. Also on Wednesday, SGR will be doing a phone-in at lunch, which includes calling politicians and voicing opinions against the war.
