Teenagers perform for peace

Feb. 5, 2003, midnight | By Jeremy Hoffman | 21 years, 2 months ago

The Takoma Park Teens for Peace Performing Arts Company is a new group that hopes to encourage the image of peace.

Founder Tami Shira Jeral feels that people have trouble actually imagining a peaceful world. Her group will explore the ideal through discussions, art, and performances.

Interested high school students can call Jeral at 301-891-3433. Workshops and rehearsals will begin on Thursday, Feb 6, from 4:30-6:00 p.m., and continue on the first three Thursdays of every month.
