Parts of this article are not original reporting. Information has been compiled from The WTOP news article "Mont. Co. Police Search for Missing Girls," the NBC4.com news article "Police Search for Missing Teen Girls" and the Missing and Abducted Website.

Two Wootton students, 18-year-old Rachel Crites of Gaithersburg and 16-year-old Rachel Smith of Potomac, have been missing since Jan. 19.

Smith is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 118 pounds, with green eyes and brown medium-length hair. Crites is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110, with brown eyes and brown medium-length hair.

The students were last seen on the evening of Jan. 19 in a dark blue 1997 Subaru Outback station wagon with Maryland registration MBJ-485 belonging to Crites.

According to authorities, the girls were going to see a movie at a theater in Georgetown the Friday evening they disappeared. Parents and police are worried concerning notes found in Crites' journal detailing a wish to "stay with [her] true love."

Police are asking anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Crites or Smith to contact the Montgomery County police's non-emergency phone number at 301-279-8000 or the Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400.
