Students to hold a walkout in response to declaration of war

Stay tuned for updates through the day

President Bush announced to America last night that military action had been taken in Iraq. In reaction to the declaration of war, Montgomery County Students for Peace and Justice are sponsoring a countywide walkout today.

The walkout, which is being held at 1:00 today in front of the main office, has been approved by the administration. All students participating in the protest who miss class will be given excused absences.

At 2:15 the group plans to March to the Silver Spring Metro Station and ride to the protest at Judiciary Square. Anyone leaving Blair's campus prior to 2:15 will be given suspensions.
