Ben Penn

Name: Ben Penn
Position: Page Editor
Graduation Year: 2002
Ben Penn, a senior in the Communication Arts Program, is thrilled to be taking on the role of managing sports editor for Silver Chips. While holding the position of page editor last year, Ben is proud to say that he was the only person on Silver Chips staff who covered a sports beat all year (girls' soccer, boys' basketball, and baseball). But of all of Ben's many achievements since the day he was born on December 16, 1983, the one that he takes the most pride in is his critically acclaimed sports column in Chips, titled the Bull Penn. Ben cannot remember off the top of his head the names of the critics who acclaimed it, but he knows they're out there somewhere. Ben knows that Silver Chips is a full-time job, but there is nothing he loves more than to come home to his lovely wife, kids, dog and cat, and to sit back on the Lazy-boy with a brewskie in one hand and remote control in the other. Getting back to reality, Ben wishes to go to college and study journalism. If this career fails, he will pursue his goal of growing up to become Eugene, from David E. Kelley's The Practice.
