Blazers have not played since Sept 30 due to rain, Code Blue

Due to rainouts and Code Blue restrictions, girls' tennis has had five matches postponed since Sept 26. The 5-1 Blazers have only played two divisional matches and four have been postponed.

According to coach David Ngbea, all rescheduled matches must be played by Monday, Oct 21 to count for seeding in the county tournament.

The divisional match versus Magruder High School that was rained out on Sep 26 will be made up today at 3:30 at Blair if the weather permits and restrictions are lifted.

The Blazers will face Richard Montgomery High School tomorrow afternoon in a regularly scheduled match. Ngbea says that matches can be played on Friday and he is trying to reschedule either the Oct 8 match versus Churchill or the Oct 10 match versus Kennedy.

The divisional match scheduled for Oct 3 against Whitman will most likely be made up Monday afternoon, and there is no plan yet to make up the Oct 11 divisional match against Wootton.

Preliminaries for the county tournament begin Tuesday, Oct 22 and the tournament starts Wednesday, Oct 23.
