Blair's symphonic orchestra received straight one's, the highest possible rating, at the regional festival on Mar 13.

The symphonic orchestra performed three pieces for the festival. The orchestra chose an unconventional way of warming up with their first piece. Instead of directly playing the piece, they first sang, and then played "Choral 9", by Bach.

The second piece was "L'inverno", or "Winter," by Vivaldi. The soloist was senior concertmistress Elizabeth Kim. The third piece was movements one, two, and six from the Capriol Suite.

The orchestra is now qualified to go to state festival that will take place later this year.
