The Renaissance assembly held for people who raised their GPA by .5 from first to second quarter was deemed a success by club head and Blair social studies teacher Patricia Anderson.

The assembly occurred on Friday during sixth period and Anderson was happy with the way the assembly turned out. "I was quite pleased with the success of the event," said Anderson.

Anderson spoke to the students, then club members Eliot Stein and Amanda Thornton talked about Renaissance. Principal Philip Gainous congratulated students, talked about how proud he was and told students to encourage their friends to raise their GPA's.

Students were given passes that told them when to come down to the SAC but were not told what to expect. Junior Amy Nguyen enjoyed the assembly. "[The assembly] made me proud that I raised my GPA," said Nguyen. "The cake was good," she added.
