The FIFA 2026 World Cup Draw was held on Friday, December 5th at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. The ceremony saw President Trump win the FIFA Peace Prize, awarded by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and the United States joined in Group D by Paraguay and Australia. There were many other celebrities in attendance, too, including: Ronaldo Nazário (Slides 2 & 18), Thomas Tuchel (Slide 3), Zlatko Dalić (Slides 4 & 12), Hajime Moriyasu (Slide 4), Roberto Carlos (Slide 5), Ronald Koeman (Slides 7 & 15), YG Marley (Slide 13), and Ramón Morales (Slide 17). The World Cup games will take place this upcoming summer in the United States, Canada, and Mexico throughout June and July. Tickets are available now.
The Blair Varsity Hockey team (combination of Blair, Albert Einstein, Wheaton, Northwood, and Paint Branch high schools) drew 1-1 after three periods and a tense overtime against RAM (combination of Rockville and Magruder high schools) on Friday, November 21st. This game put Blair at 3-1-2 on the season through six games with the second half of the season still remaining.
The Blazers fall 3-0 in straight sets on Senior Night, and close the regular season with 7 wins and 7 losses. Despite the loss, the seniors were in great spirits throughout the game.
