The Blair Blazers (16-5) and the Chopticon Braves (20-4) battled each other for six innings, but the seventh inning saw 14 total runs scored and ended when Chopticon's bats came alive and brought the winning run across.


Blair field hockey falls in first playoff game against B-CC

Blair varsity field hockey (3-9-1) exhausted all of their efforts against the Bethesda Chevy-Chase Barons (9-4) last Thursday, but ultimately lost 3-1 in the first round of the playoffs. It was an intense game, with a lot of close chances for both sides to win the match.


Blazers bested by Bulldogs

Blair Varsity field hockey (2-2-1) fell to the Churchill Bulldogs on Friday night by a score of 0-2. Blair's defense dominated in the first half, but the team's struggle for possession in the second half led to extensive pressure on the defense, and ultimately led to the two Churchill goals.


Varsity Softball ends winning streak

In a heartbreaking end to their regular season at home and their fourteen game winning streak, Blair's Varsity softball team (14-2) was narrowly defeated by the Blake Bengals (11-2). It was a tough game for the Blazers, who started out strong but slowed throughout the game and never quite recovered. A late seventh inning rally seemed like it might turn the game around for the Blazers, but a bad call in the bottom of the eighth inning ended the game, 5-4, Blake.


Field Hockey Succumbs to Richard Montgomery

Blair varsity field hockey (3-4) lost to Richard Montgomery Rockets (5-2) Wednesday evening , ending with a close score of (1-2). The Blazers started the game intensely and maintained possession throughout the game, however, they failed to capitalize on crucial opportunities.


Knitting and Crocheting are just "sew" much fun

A group of Blazer sophomores including Anna Reachmack and Susanna Maisto who all share a common interest in sewing, knitting and crocheting decided to start the new, Sew Much Fun club which started in late February.
