The Maryland state senate recently considered Senate bill 297, which decriminalizes possession of 10 grams or fewer of marijuana.
On Thursday, the Maryland Senate Committee held a hearing for the proposal to raise the minimum wage in Maryland to $10 per hour by 2015. Currently, the minimum wage stands at $7.25 an hour and is in accordance with the federal minimum wage mandate.
