On Feb. 26, the Blair Cluster's "School Safety and Sensible Gun Policies" resolution was presented to the Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA). The resolution, sponsored by committee co-chairs Ed Feigen and Ina Schonberg, aims to increase gun control and improve mental health policies.

In light of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Friday, it may be time to admit that no number of devastating shootings and no number of innocent murdered children will spur Americans into gun control. There are about 74 million children in the U.S. How many more need to die at the hands of crazy murderous psychopaths before we, as a nation, get serious about gun control?
