Name: Joe Howley
Position: Page Editor
Graduation Year: 2002
Joe Howley is a senior at Blair in the Communication Arts Program. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Online division of Chips and shares the Graphics Editorship with the infamous Brandon Proia. He is resigned to being a hopeless computer "geek," and is already an object of much ridicule in the Online division for using a handheld computer. Joe is also, in his spare time, a writer, having entered the Bucconeer Student science Fiction contest for the last three years, placing as a finalist, semifinalist, and winner, in that order. He has had an editorial piece published in the New York Times. In a past life, he played the cello, and theoretically still does. Currently, he attempts to play the electric bass, with emphasis on the blues. He enjoys A. E. Housman, Terry Pratchett, Shakespeare, and Timothy Zahn, in approximately that order. Joe supports the right to bear arms, but only for bears, because they would look silly on anything else. He will admit to being a Star Trek fan, and is proud to declare himself a devout NPR listener. This is a really old version of his bio and someone should have told him to write a new one, goshdarnit.
