Blair '13 graduate Sam Zbarsky will represent the United States in the 44th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Copenhagen, Denmark from July 7-15.
On Jan. 9, the Society for Science and the Public announced 300 semifinalists in the Intel Science Talent Search. On Jan. 22, Samuel Zbarsky was named a finalist.
Eight Blair seniors advanced in the 2012 Siemens competition in math, science, engineering and technology (STEM) to become semifinalists, and one junior was named a Regional Finalist.
Senior Samuel Zbarsky and 11 other North American students went to the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to compete with over 30 teams from 26 countries around the world. The American and Canadian teams competed in both the individual and team events and did some sightseeing around the city.
