Japanese classes make rice balls for a good cause

On Nov. 18 and 24, Japanese 1 classes, with teacher Yoko Zoll, made rice balls to participate in the "Change the World with Onigiri" campaign, started by an organization called Table for Two.

On the first day of class, James Schafer always does one activity. He asks his students to sit down in the back of the classroom and asks for their name and one interesting thing about them. Unlike most teachers however, by the end of class, he knows each of his student's names.


Blazers place second in international academic competition

On Dec. 5, Blair won second place in the biannual Knowledge Master Open (KMO). The Blazers scored 1773 points, 3 points behind the winning school, Novi, Michigan's Detroit Catholic Central High School.
