Before the puck dropped on Blair's Nov. 7 opener against the Rockville Rams, there were many questions about whether Blazer Hockey would even be able to field a team. The Blair varsity hockey team (2-1-1) tied a thrilling game against the Rockville ice hockey team (2-1-1) in a 6-6 game that featured multiple lead changes and tons of goals. Three Blazers were close to a hat trick with juniors Ian Jackson, Sebastian Rubinstein and Max Kronstadt all netting two goals.
The Blair varsity hockey team won a lopsided game against the Damascus Hornets by a score of 6-2. With the win, the Blazers improved to 2-1 on the year, while Damascus fell to a lowly 0-3.
The Blair hockey team (6-4-1) thrashed the Blake Bengals (4-7) 8-0, asserting their offensive and defensive dominance throughout the game and clinching a playoff berth on Feb.8.
