"Unleashed," the Slam Poetry Club's first event, took place on Friday during fifth and sixth period. "Unleashed" was an open-mic for Blazers who wanted to showcase their talent or practice performing.


Silver Quill increases in cost

Silver Quill, Blair's literary arts magazine, will be printed in full color and include a CD this year. Due to these stylistic changes the cost of the magazine, which is set for release the week of May 7, will be $7 more than last year's, bringing the price from $8 to $15.

Silver Quill hosted its fourth biannual arts fair, which featured local band performances, a silent auction and art activities at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Downtown Silver Spring on Jan. 21.
