The season came to an end for the girls' lacrosse team (6-8) after they lost to the Springbrook Devils (12-1) in a grueling match Friday afternoon. The game began evenly with both teams' defenses holding strong, but Springbrook eventually gained the upper hand and won 7-3.
In their final home game before playoffs, the girls' lacrosse team (4-6) suffered a preventable loss against the Walter Johnson Wildcats (3-7). The two teams started out neck-and-neck, but the lady Blazers fell in the second half and ultimately lost 8-10.
On a wet Monday evening, the Blair's girls' lacrosse team (3-4) took on the Springbrook Blue Devils. Despite going down 3-0 in the first half, the Blazers continued to fight back until, minutes into the second half, flashes of lightning and rumbling thunder disrupted the match. Both teams were forced to postpone resuming the game until Wednesday, where Blair lost the hard-fought game 8-6.
The Blazers (5-8-1) lost 4-0 to the Bethesda Chevy-Chase Barons (12-3) on Friday night, ending their season on a bittersweet note. Though the scoreboard may not have reflected it, the Blazers put up an unrelenting fight through the entirety of the game.
The Blazers (5-7-1) played a close game against the Blake Bengals (4-8-1) which ended in a 0-0 draw after two periods of overtime.
