On Jan. 26, the Blair cheerleaders placed first at the Panther Cheer Competition at Paint Branch High School in Silver Spring, Md. The team out-cheered second-place Paint Branch by 36 points. The judges also awarded Blair the spirit award and the captain's award to senior Rachel Robey.
In the last seven seconds of the game, junior Shannon Healy pulled through in the clutch and led the Blazers (7-10) to a 39-37 victory against Kennedy (11-7).

The Blair girls' varsity lacrosse team (5-3) trounced the Kennedy cavaliers (0-8) by a score of 18-1. The Lady Blazers took hold of the game from the beginning and never relinquished the lead.
A senior Blazer was stabbed in the parking lot of Northwood High School at 9:06 p.m. on Tuesday, after attending the Northwood v. Kennedy High School boys' basketball game. She is currently recuperating from the attack.
