Students concerned about bias in the dress code and its enforcement
Blair's swim and dive team defeated the Einstein Titans and Wheaton Knights in the first meet of the season. The team considered this meet a scrimmage, since Blair's Division I team will not swim again Einstein and Wheaton's Division IV teams during the regular season.
Blair's varsity field hockey team (1-2) won their first game of the season by defeating the Einstein Titans (0-3) by a final score of 6-0. Strong defense by the Blazers left the Titans scoreless.
The scoring onslaught began early as the Blair varsity girls' lacrosse team (9-4) defeated the Einstein Titans (7-6) by a score of 18-4. Blair scored early, never giving Einstein a chance to rally back.
The energy level was high as a sizable number of students, teachers and parents came out to support the varsity boys' lacrosse (5-6) senior night game against the Einstein Titans (7-4). The Blazers came out on top, defeating the Titans, 7-6.
The varsity baseball team (2-1) defeated the Einstein Titans (0-3) by a score of 8-3. The game started off strong with Blair scoring four runs in the first inning. They prevented the Titans from scoring until the top of the fourth. The Titans attempted to come back from Blair's 6-0 lead, but the Blazers fought hard and kept their opponents at bay to secure their second win of the season.
Despite struggling with their serves, especially during the last two sets, the Blazers were able to completely destroy Einstein thanks to their aggressive play.
As freshman Camilla Arias came home to score the eighth run at the end of the first inning Monday night the Blair fans were already wondering what the mercy rule is.
