Though the score was tight many times during the game and the Blazers (9 - 3) lost the second set, they pushed through and won the final two sets after scoring several last minute points. Blair won the first set 25-16, the second 25-23, and the fourth 26-24. Poolesville won the third set 25-23.

All of the boy's volleyball players had a huge presence in scoring points, and this teamwork led them to a decisive playoff win. In three quick sets, the boy's volleyball team (8-1) advanced to the third round of playoffs, overpowering the Wheaton Knights with final scores of 25-9, 25-8 and 25-8.

Following an emotional Senior Night ceremony decked with colorful leis, balloons and bouquets of flowers, the Blair boys' volleyball team (10-1) got ready to take on the Churchill Bulldogs (7-4). After Blair's seniors took the court, senior Rick Narcisse pitched the volleyball over the net on the opening serve. When Churchill bumped it back over the net, senior Andy Zhang slammed the ball home, setting off a chain of plays that led the Blazers to a resounding win on Friday night. Blair eventually defeated Churchill by final scores of 25-10, 25-10 and 25-17.

The boys' varsity volleyball team (7-1) won its fifth home game against the Poolesville Falcons (4-4) with final scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-17. Despite struggling with their serves during the last two sets, the Blazers were able to defeat Poolesville with their aggressive and clever playing.

The boys' volleyball team (5-1) trailed the Wheaton Knights (3-3) by a score of 3-0 at the start of the first set, foreshadowing a frustrating night for the Blazers. In the end, however, Blair defeated Wheaton by final scores of 25-18, 25-10 and 26-24 and captured its fifth consecutive win.

The boys' varsity volleyball team (4-1) won its third home game against the Northwest Jaguars (0-3) with final scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-12. Despite struggling with their passing and losing focus, especially during the last two sets, the Blazers were able to completely destroy Northwest with their aggressive and clever playing. Since the Jaguars arrived to the court later than expected, prior to the game, junior co-captain, Ricci Huang was extremely confident going into the game. "We're all feeling confident because of the extra practice we get until they arrive, plus they're not the best of teams so we're definitely aiming for a clean win," he said.

All the seniors played with optimal determination and dexterity, and the Gladiators could not counteract the Blazers, who won each set speedily. A combination of powerful serves and consistent aces allowed Blair to dominate the first two sets at 25:9 each, and capture the last set at 25:13.

After two hours of intense play, the boys' varsity volleyball team (3-1) exited the gym following a loss to the Sherwood Warriors (5-0), arguably their toughest opponent of the season. Although the Blazers handily defeated the Warriors in the first two sets, Sherwood walked away victorious by winning the last three. The Blazers' frustration in the last sets, in addition to their inconsistent serving, cost the Blazers a hearty victory against their long-time rival.

In their first match of the season, the boys' varsity volleyball team (1-0) soundly defeated the Rockville Rams in three straight sets (0-1). The Blazers led early across the three sets, showing no mercy to Rockville, the team who beat the boys twice last year, including once in the playoffs. Through consistent serving and hitting, coupled with poor Ram defense, the boys avenged their losses last year through an easy yet fulfilling win.
