"World War Z:" a New Type of War

Despite the previews demonstrating only signs of mass violence and destruction, the $200 million dollar apocalyptic blockbuster "World War Z" is not only action-packed but also touches base with many current issues such as global warming, the spreading of diseases and geopolitical conflicts. Similar to other popular zombie flicks, the film focuses on society's struggle to stay alive and the steps that are taken to ensure the survival of humankind. However, unlike other common blockbusters, there were not a force of evil or grand battles to end the film, just a general problem and a search for a solution.

Prepare to be transported to Oz once again, but don't be surprised if the Merry Old Land of Oz isn't as merry as you once remembered. The journey along the Yellow Brick Road may seem much darker as director Sam Raimi's prequel "Oz the Great and Powerful" reveals the story of that man behind the curtain that we were instructed to pay no attention to in the original.

The creators of "Dark Skies" were most likely in the dark when directing this movie. The storyline was predictably unoriginal, the villainous creatures were underdeveloped and the actors were not believable. Overall, what could be taken from this "horror"ible excuse of a movie is that if you're experiencing random breaks in, being possessed, and getting random nosebleeds… it's probably aliens.
This franchise needs to "Die Hard"

Don't be fooled by the title of this movie – you can watch "A Good Day to Die Hard" on any day of the week and it will devoid you of any pleasure and leave you feeling miserable and empty. Directed by John Moore, it betrays everything that made the original "Die Hard" so exciting and invigorating.

Directed and written by Jonathan Levine, "Warm Bodies" is one of the strangest interpretations of the classic tale of "Romeo and Juliet,” but also one of the most memorable and less cheesy versions I have seen. The movie does have its cheesy moments, but it's overshadowed by the comedic moments and the interesting juxtaposition between zombie-horror and romance.
