It looked like Northwood (0-2) might have a chance against Blair as they scored first, taking a 2-0 lead over the Blazers. That only lasted for a minute however as Blair (2-0) went on to dominate the rest of the game en route to a 56-20 thrashing of their archrivals.

Northwood High School media services technician Aaron Lamere was arrested on May 7 and charged with over a dozen counts of sex-related crimes, according to police reports. A letter signed by Northwood Principal Henry Johnson was sent home informing students about the situation on the day of the arrest.

The boys' varsity lacrosse team (2-2) defeated the Northwood Gladiators (1-2) by a score of 10-3 in the fourth game of the season. The Blazers built their lead throughout the game with steady defense and an explosive offense that Northwood could not corral.


Blazer stabbed at local basketball game

A senior Blazer was stabbed in the parking lot of Northwood High School at 9:06 p.m. on Tuesday, after attending the Northwood v. Kennedy High School boys' basketball game. She is currently recuperating from the attack.

Coming off a 35-0 loss to Sherwood, the varsity football team (0-5) was hoping to rebound against rival Northwood (3-2). From the opening kickoff, it was clear that the Gladiators had different plans - senior Al Bangura returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. Northwood never looked back, dominating all four quarters and cruising to a 42-0 victory.
